In 8th grade, a student is expected to choose between Optional subjects, for which he / she undergoes an Aptitude Test and later the counselor discusses the outcome of the test and the pros and cons of the options preferred by the student. Based on this discussion and liking of the student, he / she chooses the optional subject and also it is a stepping stone to what career option he could continue once he clears 10th grade.

Thus, when the student studies the chosen course for 2 years, he / she builds the base or the foundation for the student to progress further after 12th grade for Bachelors. In these 2 years (11th and 12th grade) some students decide to change their gears and opt for change in the stream if they find it difficult or they find that they are not interested or cut-out to pursue it further.

In either of the alternatives, every year there are more and more students who decide to study abroad for under graduation after 12th grade. In addition to the superior quality of education which is imparted abroad, the prime advantage of Studying Abroad is that the students become more emphatic, responsible and overall more confident. Indian education by far focuses on writing and learning. In India, the students are in the protected environment of their family which most of the times, takes all decisions on their behalf. Whereas when the student studies abroad, he takes all the major decisions – academic (core and elective subjects) and non-academic (career oriented, accommodation, habits etc.). Most of them value the freshly obtained independence and take realistic, practical and smart solutions. They also start valuing money much more when they start doing part-time job and / or internships. Their spare time goes into more productive areas like working and that automatically reduces their leisure expenses and unnecessary expenditure. Their maturity shows when they understand so much effort goes behind earning a paltry sum while doing internship.

Since they stay in or around the campus and are always surrounded by like-minded students during lectures and also afterwards, they are more in tune with latest developments and changes going on in job market and newer career options.
